About Our Staff
Green Acres Manor is owned and operated by the Hansen Family. The Hansens bring both a
passion for customer service and elder care that is unique in the industry. Allow us to
introduce ourselves.
Joe Hansen serves as Administrator and operates Green Acres Manor with his wife Monica, who
together live on site. Joe graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in
business. He has served in management roles in restaurant and retail businesses for over
20 years and has won numerous awards for superior operational performance and outstanding
customer service at such notable retailers as Wal*Mart, Office Depot and Nordstrom. Joe is
responsible for all daily business operations and supervision of resident care, including
but not limited to medication management, food preparation, bookkeeping, and communications
with family, friends, doctors, and visitors.
Monica Hansen graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Health Science.
Upon graduation, she became a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant, and has been working in
the physical therapy industry for over ten years. Most recently, Monica worked at the
San Diego Veterans Home in Chula Vista before moving to Sonoma to help operate the Green
Acres facility. Monica is responsible for administering a comprehensive activities program
individualized to meet the needs of each resident. Her experience in the Veterans home has
proved invaluable to providing the highest care level for our residents.
Wade Hansen, Joe's older brother, serves the business as President and Co-owner with his
wife Anna. Wade has an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of
Management and has worked as a financial and strategic advisor to for the past 15 years.
Wade oversees the financial aspects of the business.
The Hansen family prides itself on providing the best care and service options for the
elderly in Sonoma County. They are a great team who work well together and with each of
the families who have loved ones at Green Acres Manor. The have a wonderful staff of
caregivers who are experienced, loving individuals. Green Acres Manor is truly the place
