Let the Music Play!

Music is such an integral part of our lives here at Green Acres. Music has always played a large role in people's lives, and this generation is no different. Music can have such a soothing effect on our residents as well as provide entertainment. Music therapy is provided a couple times a month where we get our residents even more involved, and is very interactive. Nice relationships have been developed with local organizations including the Kenwood Elementary School that also provide entertainment and music for our residents. You know the old saying - "It takes a community".

Movies are also a great way for our residents to reminisce about the past. We have a small collection of older movies that are classics, and are a pleasure to watch on a rainy day. One day or night a week we make a special occasion out of one movie and really have a good time with popcorn, snacks and drinks de jour. There's nothing better than the smell of fresh buttered popcorn!
